Alba Cueran Pozos, 65, has lived in San Carlos, for over 40 years. She suffers from cancerous tumors and the family has spent enormous amounts on her treatment. She remains in terrible pain. San Carlos is a community based around petroleum production and suffering one of the highest cancer rates in Ecuador.
